Watching movies in English could be tricky to understand since students also needs to guess what the movie is about since they are not comfortable with English. Movies will enhance their listening comprehension; attributing to their textbook studies.
We gather all the students whose birthdays fall in the same week and celebrate together on Sunday. This event is held with the hope that it will help students adapt better, especially since birthdays away from home can feel a bit lonely. Everyone enjoys a good time by receiving birthday wishes and gifts from other friends.
Golden bell is a test, but it is not the test you are thinking. It is a fun test where students in a group have limited time to answer questions about fun facts of English-speaking countries, vocabs related to their major, and lecture content. One group who survive till last will get a coupon they can use in CIA minimart.
When it is time to say goodbye to our teachers or friends, CIA provides a pork barbecue in the evening so everybody can enjoy the party. Students will have a chance to be a host and run the event by themselves. They will show off their talents and teachers will also participate. This event usually takes on the final week before students go back to their countries. They will share their letters and exchange gifts while cherishing the last moments together.
